Bo Hu Li is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering; a professor/doctor director and the reputation president of the School of Automation Science and Electron Engineering in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA).

He is the president of Chinese Association for System Simulation, a member of the board of directors in the Chinese Society of System Engineering, a member of the board of directors in the China Computer Federation, the vice director of Manufacturing Committee in the Chinese Society of Automation, the vice director of Automation Committee in the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering; the co-editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing (IJMSSC), and the director of BUAA center of Mecloed Institute of Simulation Science.

He was the head of Expert Steering Committee of the Contemporary Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS) Subject and a member of Expert Steering Committee of Automation Area in the China High Tech & Research Plan 863; the president of Beijing Institute of Computer Application & Simulation Technology and the president of Beijing Simulation Center; a member of Advisory Committee of the international journal “Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory” of EUROSIM and a member of the director committee of the Society for Modeling & Simulation International. He authored or co-authored 250 papers, 11 books and 4 translated books in the fields of modeling and simulation and contemporary integrated manufacturing system.

He has got 1 first class scientific award and 3 second class scientific awards from China State, and 14 scientific awards from the Chinese Ministries.

His recent research areas are complex system modeling & simulation, complex product integrated manufacturing system, cloud simulation and cloud manufacturing.
